Rental Requirements:
- A minimum of one year valid driver's license for cars and two years for vans from country of origin must be presented at time of rental.
- A Photo ID featuring a recognisable photo taken in the last 10 years. Avis will accept a passport or driver's license if it contains a photo, a national identity card or any other form of government-issued identification.
- Proof of address may also be required - This could include a recent utility bill or bank statement. Driver's license will not be accepted as proof of address.
- Any additional drivers must meet the same requirements.
- Reservations must be made 2 days in advance.

Age Requirements:
- Minimum 23 years of age.
- Drivers who are aged between 23-25 will be charged the young driver surcharge of GBP40.00 per day including VAT, capped at 10 days per 28 day hire.
- Young drivers can only rent car groups A, B, C, E, I and M and must have 1 years driving experience.

Additional Driver Requirements:
- There is an additional fee for authorised additional drivers. This is to be paid directly to Avis at the time of rental. Prices shown are based on per person costs in New Zealand Dollars, for payment by cash, cheque or eftpos only. Credit card sales not permitted unless Travel Agent acts as a merchant. Capacity limitations apply and may not be available on all services. Travel requiring an overnight stay in New Zealand will be at passengers own expense.
